We haven't had a wish list thread in a while.

I wish for:

Some aluminum frames…
Full sized CZ-75 with an aluminum frame.
Browning Hi Power with an aluminum frame (yeah I know there are some out there, but they’re hard to come by)
Walther PPK with an aluminum frame (throw in brown grips and no tang)

M&P with a factory installed APEX tabbed trigger
S&W Scandium Commander in .38 Super
Colt’s 1911A1, .38 Super in Pre-WWII configuration (the ultimate retro gun)
.41 Mag Mountain Gun as a regular production item
Ruger Bisley stainless convertible 5 shot in .50AE & .50 GI.

Colt’s 1991, .38 Super in bright stainless. But they already make that you say…sure they do, ever seen one for sale at your LGS? I’d just love to see those made in enough numbers that they didn’t go for scalpers prices.

S&W 'Classics' without the MIM parts and no damn lock. WTF is 'Classic' about MIM/lock?

Most of my wish list is what I wish they'd make AGAIN.

S&W 586 and 686 in 8-3/8" barrel length. Ruger GP100 6" with a half-lug barrel. Single six .32 mag. S&W 16-4 .32 mag 6". Colt Python. 6" S&W 329 hunter. Ruger Vaqueros in .38-40 and .44 special.

Couple new things:

5 shot bearcat in .32 S&W long. 10" silhouette and 6-7/8" Gov't Target (not slab side) versions of the Ruger Mk III. A standard, not slab side, GP100 4" with a half lug barrel, adjustable sights, and the old-style grips would be cool.

How about a five shot GP100 with a 4" half-lug barrel in .44 Special? Or .41 magnum? I'd have to buy one of each.

Would also love to see a S&W K-22 in stainless made in the old style without the full underlug barrel and without the damn lock.

I pretty much own what is on my wish list though I keep reaching for the 3" Ruger LCRx. Played with one at a show on Sunday.

3" LCRx in .327 mag. I'd settle for one chambered in 357 mag though.

Since you're talking about aluminum frames I wish Ruger would follow Brian Pearce's original comment about the Ruger .44 Flattops and put aluminum grip frames on them, same as the original Old Models. And do the same with the Lipsey's .45 and .357 models.

That mid-size frame is great, you don't need a .44 magnum frame for a .357 or standard (or even warmish) .44 Spl and .45 Colt loads, but that heavy steel grip frame weighs them down by several unneeded ounces.

Got one of the stainless GP-100's with the 6" half lug barrel, love it. They should have put the half lug on the 4" model long ago, no need for a slab side fugly edition for that.

Finally, a .44 Special GP-100 has also long been on my wish list.

THIS!

To do it on the market costs a fortune!

YEP!

As an aside, I found out this weekend that the Ruger SR22 is very similar in size and both guns will fit very well in Simply Rugged leather.

Really surprised they haven't done the 3" .357 as well. I should just get the .38 as it would be what I would shoot/carry in it the most, but I like having the .357 option, especially when carrying shot capsules.

Though not a mid-frame, my old chopped 4 5/8" flattop 44 Mag is a peach to carry and shoot. My Bowen mid-frame OM 44 Special conversion also retains the aluminum grip frame and it goes a few ounces lighter. Not a hard swap to do and the piece just feels much better in my hand.

When I got the email about Ruger bringing out a LCR in 327, I was hoping it would be the LCRx, hopefully soon.

I'd like to see S&W do a scandium framed model like their nightguards with a 4" barrel. I'd be after a 10mm/40 and maybe a .45 especially if they made if Colt/ACP rather than just ACP.

Yup. The S&W internal lock is a continuing insult to gun owners and gun buyers.
