I have an uncle that has old film of his father hunting at their cabin in the 40s. The film is very brittle and won't run through the projector. Is there a way to convert it to digital or is it too far gone to restore?

There are some services out there that can convert the film, but if it is that brittle, they may not even want to try. One service I have heard of is YesVideo. I haven't used them but they seem to be pretty popular.

Great photography is not about being in the right place at the right time, it is about putting yourself in the right place at the right time.
