Would like to build a decent platform around this upper http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/catalog/product/view/id/21781

Mainly just looking for something accurate out to 300 and possible 3-gun. What other PSA parts would you pair with it? I also have a chance to buy a cheap Anderson lower at work, will it fit this setup? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I'm new to the AR world

The anderson lower should work fine, my LGS has them for $79, I am thinking of getting a couple more myself. Put your money into a better bolt/carrier.

https://danieldefense.com/components-parts/small-parts/complete-bolt-carrier-group.html

the bolt/carrier in my opinion is worth spending more money on.

The Anderson lower will work, but it's color isn't going to match the PSA upper. Anderson lowers were selling for $39 at a LGS.

I would consider this lower from PSA
http://palmettostatearmory.com/catalog/product/view/id/10446/

paired with this LPK
http://palmettostatearmory.com/catalog/product/view/id/2343/

and this BCG

It's too bad you didn't ask about this a week or 2 ago, because they had complete blem lowers with collapsible buttstock for $130 and the MOE version for $160. You might want to keep an eye on their Daily Deals section.

Thanks for the replies guys, my next question is this: Would I be better off getting something like a Daniel Defense or BCM complete rifle?

each has its place, a DD or BCM rifle might be more at home in the closet with an aimmpoint on it ready to serve while a while a build with a nice SS barrel might be more at home hunting or target shooting with a nice rifle scope on it...

split the difference buy the cheapest DD and put an sWFA 1-4 on it!

I am definitely a 1-4 guy, don't see myself using a red dot honestly.

on a defensive weapon, you might like the red dot, especially an Aimpoint.

That's a good price on their premium BCG.

I cannot for the life of me figure out why a palmetto Bolt/carrier is $99 when a DD is going for close to $200, a wilson about $210. These guys must really be ripping people off.

Paying for attention to detail mostly.

I tend to agree that there is a reason some bolts/carriers are more money.

Anyone that thinks PSA is in the same class as BCM or Daniel defense is just kidding them self but you can buy a chromed DD bolt BCG at Joe Bob Outfitters for about $150 and free shipping.

put the tip of a soldering iron on it until it is hot, or a wood burning tool will work as well.

This. A little heat to break it loose.
