You know how you sometimes just see ahead to how a simple new dish is gonna come together? You're running through your mind what ingredients you've got and don't feel like making the day longer by stopping at the grocery store.

This was really easy and darn tasty.

Had some nice plump chicken breasts I picked up for dirt and figured I'd whip something together. Browned them first with salt, pepper, and a little Hungarian hot paprika sprinkled on top at the end. Dropped them into a Corningware dish with 2 bunches of chopped scallions, 1 stalk of celery, a slather of cream cheese, sliced swiss and smoked gouda on top, and 1 can of cream of mushroom soup and chopped parsley to top it all off.

That, some sauteed zucchini, and a small salad were the ticket. smile

putting something together from what is around the house is one of the advantages of knowing how to cook. You just don't need a recipe for everything.
Cheesy Chicken sure looks good.

Yup, a big plate of that would be mighty fine eats! I agree with Sam, cookin ain't always a "paint-by-numbers" operation, it's an art form.

Frugal feast. I got some of this and some of that, dinner is on.

Like Sam said, you don't need a playbook when you know the game.

Ain't that the truth, fellas.

I've got dishes I make which are now staples in the house that I played with the recipe for several iterations and then perfected that are knee-knockin delicious.

Thanks, sse. The chicken breasts were so cheap, I figured they'd come in handy somehow.
