I'm playing around with the 50 gr. TTSX in my 1-10" T3 in .223. I've gotten great results with TAC with MV at 3230 fps.

I have a ton of Benchmark, however, so I'd like to give it a try. Anyone using this combo? I'd like a little more velocity.

I tried benchmark but ended up going back to H4895. I found out in alot of 223 that H4895 is the perfect match when not throwing heavy pills. Got great velocity with benchmark but accuracy was like 1/2" @ 100 yards, back to H4895 groups went to bug holes.

26 grs Benchmark, BR4 primer, norma brass , and 52 Nosler or Sierra gives me 3450 out of a 24" tube. Tiny groups at 100 and 1" groups at the 300. 50's are a tad faster and 55's a tad slower.

In my CZ 527 M1 (1:12); 25.8 gr Benchmark, 50 gr v-max or z-max does good enough that I bought sufficient powder and bullets to last the lifetime of the barrel.

Pharmseller,

This is just a guess, but probably you're not intending to use the 50 TTSX for benchrest or varmint shooting.

If that's true, then Benchmark should provide all the performance necessary. Based on experience, however, velocities won't exceed TAC's, but you never know until you try it.

Thanks, this is what I was looking for.

TAC gives me great accuracy. I should be happy with velocity.

Not looking at the 55, just the 50.

I might shoot a deer or two with it. I found an 8lb jug of TAC. Time to load.
