Asked this in the rifle forum... Lots of reasons we love different guns but what handgun just gives you the most giggles to shoot (at least currently)? I don't have a whole bunch and I'm not a collector so I like to keep only what I shoot but I got this guy this summer and love it! Love the feel, setup everything and it is a hoot to burn rounds through (also pretty much became my go-to CCW choice).... My other handguns are feeling neglected... Gonna get a Dillon with my buddy and join the local IPSA chapter to shoot even more...

Recently I've been enjoying my Ruger Bisley 5.5 inch 44 Special. I'm really liking that gun.
Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

Tomorrow I am headed south for whitetails and maybe a turkey.. I REALLY would like to take a gobbler with my model 28 6" .357 and some hot .38 loads... Long story, but one of my few goals left...
mart would like to hear more about that 6 gun..

Ruger SR22. It's replaced my Ruger MK2-target as my range toy to shoot after skeet or while my rifle barrel is cooling down. I've sold atleast three of them for Ruger by letting buddies shoot it. Best part is they are super cheap to purchase.

S&W 68 in .38 Special. Took it out of mothballs awhile back to shoot NRA revolver matches. Way too much fun shooting my old LAPD revolver DA at 25 yds. Bob

My fun-gun is a Ruger Mark III 22/45 with a bull barrel and adjustable fiber optic sights. I shoot at leaves on a sand bank at 50 yards and am upset if I can't hit one out of two... that gun just shoots straight and true all the time. Whoo-hoo!

Ditto.. I was never so surprised at a handgun's feel/function/features as I was when I first began shooting the SR22.. And - like you said - the price is more than reasonable.. Now - if they'd just make one for the 22 magnum... (drool)

Oh this one is SO easy for me. S&W 617 4" 10 shot K-22. If I go out shooting, there's any number of guns I may take with me, but the 617 ALWAYS goes out. It is without a doubt my favorite handgun.

Top 3 would be a Sig P210, supressed buckmark, or grandpaz Union Switch and Signal 45.

+100 for the Ruger SR22 Shot it again this morning, still smiling-- +101 +102 I had been looking at and researching those for awhile. A LOT of favorable reviews and then more good comments on this thread. Debated whether it was worth it when I already had a Single Ten and a tricked out MkIII 22/45. The SR22 came home last night.... Gonna go break it in this afternoon when it gets above freezing!

Read through this topic last week and was impressed by the positive feed back regarding the SR22. Been thinking about one for some time.
Anyway, Friday evening had to make a spur of the moment trip to pick up my daughter from college for the Thanksgiving break. Stopped at a little shop in a rural town for a bio break and took a quick walk by the gun counter. What's this, an SR22 by itself? Right side of brain was working soundly, "This is an ill advised impulse", Left side, "That scratch needs to be itched, plus its an investment".
I can now report with the previous posters, very fun to shoot.

Took the wife to the indoor range yesterday to get her back up to speed on handguns.. With her arthritis she really can't shoot much more than a standard .38 Special - and even that's quite uncomfortable.. Anyhoo - I loaded 4 different handguns in the bag, grabbed ammo, ears and targets and off we went. The four were Ruger SP101 in .38/.357, SP101 in .32H&HR, Ruger SR22 and a Beretta Bobcat .22.. After we were done she remarked that the SR22 was by far the most fun/comfortable to shoot - and at 15 yards she placed about half the shots in the bull. Man - if she likes it, it's GOTTA be good..

I've had more fun shooting a High Standard Sport King than all the other handguns I've owned over the years put together. I've had it since the late 1960's or early 70's, don't remember exactly, but I bet I couldn't see over the pile of 22 LR brass that I've shot through that thing. I'm going to have to dig that one out of the safe and put another brick or two through it and then maybe get it threaded for a suppressor.

This one is kinda fun. I had a ton of free ammo and a place to shoot it all up at FT Bragg. It's a '67 T-series that had the rear sight notch opened up a little, mag safety removed and a nice re-parking. Great shooter with 9mm ball. Bob

Not mine, but a crazy Bud has a full auto Glock 9, ripping 30 is 'fun' but woefully inaccurate from an effective point of view. Straight fun shooting would be that Cadillac 5" Les Baer 45 ACP, it's just so nice, you can feel the quality in the build.

My most fun handguns have been the various PMR30's I have had. Current one with its much shorter and lighter trigger pull VS earlier versions is SUCH a hoot! And so easy to carry as a trail gun etc.
