The morning news showed an extended video of this today. Not only did the thug rob the inebriated woman but was also dragging her to a waiting SUV. That's actually what caught the young med student's attention as he drove through the intersection just beyond where it took place. He backed his car up and jumped out to assist. Little doubt what all would've happened to the woman if he hadn't intervened and the thug had got her into the SUV. The video alone showed the thug had absolutely no concern whatsoever with shooting or outright executing someone.
