I know the magazines are VERY difficult to get for the Savage M99C in .308, but is there any lead on a follower/spring for existing magazines?

thanks

Well, I've never come across any separated parts, at least not identified as from 99C. I Think it will be easier to bite the bullet and buy a complete magazine...whenever you find one. That will get you shooting at least while you look for parts.

If you're going to hunt with it having two mags isn't a bad idea anyway.

Thanks all.

I've been looking for the mags.

Had a thought though.

Any chance a Savage 110 or Axis mag follower might work in the magazine?

I don't have a clue how wide the mags are- just thinking of lateral moves to resolve the issue.

Nope, I have examples of each, and they're all different.
