I like the G-5. The Wasp Hammer SST worked well for me and other people swear by Muzzy. Steelforce also makes a really effective head. I like cut on contact. I prefer 3 blades but 2 or 4 would work just as well on deer.

I think you are blaming Thunderheads for poor shooting. If you hit them where they live, nothing will ever get away. No broadhead is going to make up for crummy shooting. I have killed countless deer, elk, turkeys and all kinds of little critters with Thunderheads. Their ONLY issue is, the blades "sometimes" fall out, but only when hitting rocks or when not paying attention and the heads are not screwed down tight to the shaft. I have never lost a blade in an animal. I would like to see them with a larger cutting diameter.

I do like Slick Tricks for a heck of a blood trail and fabulous accuracy, but they still have a weakness. They often break off right at the end of the arrow shaft when anything but ribs are hit. I have talked to Gary (the owner) about this and he says they had a problem with heat treating on a certain batch, but even the new ones have the same problem. Other than that, they are a heck of a broadhead and the way to go.

I have been pretty impressed with Interlocks as well. They are extremely accurate and durable, but the blades aren't as durable as I like on game (I have had blades break off when hitting heavy bone in deer).

I have a broadhead that will be on the market in a couple of months that addresses and fixes the problems with the best broadheads on the market. It will have a 4 blade cut, sturdy blades, chisle/cut on contact point, steel construction and fly like a bullet....oh and the blades won't fall out <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> For now, interlocks and slick tricks fly to the same point of aim in my bow and I shoot a lot of them. I have killed lots of animals with the thunderhead 100. Elk and deer, I always check my tips to make sher they are on tight but I have lost blades in animals before too. But every animal that was shot well has died fast for me, some that wernt shot that well died fast to.

I'll take a cut on impact broadhead all day long over a chisel point! But I dont hunt deer, their skins a little thin compared to most critters up here.
