For about as long as they have been around, I have been a huge fan of Burris' Posi Lock scopes for hard use, and the two atop my 416 Rigby and 340 Tyrannosaur will likely be there forever.
But, these terrific scopes are getting tough to find, they typically had only a 3x magnification range, and they were even then, and still are, a tad bit heavy for their magnification range. OK, they are way heavy
I need to scope up a rifle that will see a lot of use on a four wheeler and other conveyances. A scope that can be bounced around yet maintain its zero perfectly.
Right now I am leaning toward Vortex as I have heard good things about thier ruggedness and I cannot afford even a used Nightforce, which would be my first choice to try (now that they have some normal sized scopes) if money was not an issue.
Thanks for your input.
