Very nice rifles. I packed a Remington 760 (left hand) 30-06 for deer season. I didn't get too excited about western Oregon deer hunting, since I didn't draw a tag for my area: For elk hunting, I wanted to pack my light 338. I ended up packing this one for 4 days: Damn good rifle and the light weight was pretty nice for carring. Funny thing happened when I handed my rifle to my partner before crossing over a fence. He grabbed it and got the funniest look on his face and said it feels like a rifle without a stock, "it's so light". He was telling the guys at work about it the other day too. It must have made an impression . He said he wishes his Ruger m77 338 win mag was that light.. The other rifle I packed was not a light weight, but worked out so nicely that I packed it for the remaining 4 days of the hunt. 375 H&H model 70 in coyote bomber swirly:
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

The good Colonel and I went moose hunting this year to fill a cow tag. Left handed model 70 in 400 Whelen.
Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

Nice rifles you have there. If you noticed, I posted a Remington 760. Hopefully no one looks down on me because of it..
