Very nice rifles. I packed a Remington 760 (left hand) 30-06 for deer season. I didn't get too excited about western Oregon deer hunting, since I didn't draw a tag for my area:

For elk hunting, I wanted to pack my light 338. I ended up packing this one for 4 days:

Damn good rifle and the light weight was pretty nice for carring. Funny thing happened when I handed my rifle to my partner before crossing over a fence. He grabbed it and got the funniest look on his face and said it feels like a rifle without a stock, "it's so light". He was telling the guys at work about it the other day too. It must have made an impression laugh. He said he wishes his Ruger m77 338 win mag was that light..

The other rifle I packed was not a light weight, but worked out so nicely that I packed it for the remaining 4 days of the hunt. 375 H&H model 70 in coyote bomber swirly:

My fav. .300 wm.. with a buck from a couple years ago. Carried it just a bit for elk, and as a back up on my deer hunts..

I'm glad you posted your pictures. Nice rifles you have there. If you noticed, I posted a Remington 760. Hopefully no one looks down on me because of it.. laugh
