Well today I let the temps warm a bit before going hunting. Left house at 1pm as my cleaning lady was also a bit late for arrival.
Yesterday Rush got me three roosters

so I jumped Shredder out of the box and headed across the field. In a mile I had three shots and as many birds in the bag.

I love my old Charles Daly 16ga. A hundred and three years old still putting birds down.

Took a few photos then started for the truck. Came across this old dinosaur from the past.


Then almost to the truck I spotted this. It had been there for some time. I like stuff like this so saved it in a photo.


Alkali was crusted on it. Someday it will be a fossil. Pretty cool!

Beautiful. Love your gun choice. I have a featherweight, nitro damascus, Diamond grade, 12 bore, Lindner. IMO, some of the finest shotguns ever made.

Nice pictures. I did not know Charles Daly stamped shotguns went back 103 years. If memory serves me it was a New York sporting goods company that started the "Charles Daly" line of sporting guns whose name eludes me.

The Lindner guns were stamped with his trademark of crossed pistols ( barrels in front of the flats)

My gun is rare as it is a true Lindner, engraved as such but for the English speaking market. The safety is inlaid "safe" instead of "sicher".

If all's well will be in the Chamberlain area next weekend. Looking forward to it.

I love your part of the country. Bird hunting is almost gone here in the south. Our bobwhite numbers are way down and the grouse are on a down cycle. Enjoy every minute of it sir!
