Overpriced by several hundred unless you are a collector.

I like the rifle and caliber, but wouldn't pay that price for 4 of them.

$1750.00 and hasn't reached the reserve price yet? Collector or not, a guy could build a heck of a .260 rifle for that, and have some left over for a good scope.

The rarer ones bring a premium. 7mm-08, 223, 260, 280 etc. The 7mm-08 and 260 seem to be the holy grail for GB auctions though.

Gee, when I bought mine the second one was so cheap, I did buy a second one...if I'm gone I need to tell the wife before I go to sell my rifles on gun broker... I'm worth more dead to her than alive...

I can't see the intrinsic value. If I owned one, it would be for sale at that price.

The Mark II is my favorite of the 77's, but definitely not at that price.

I'm worth more dead to her than alive... My second was a 280. Third was a 22/250. Then I bought a 270 so my sister would stop borrowing the 260. By my calculations, I have $ 1479 into all 4 rifles. Kaiser Norton The last couple 7mm-08s that sold on GB brought over $2k EACH!!!....go figure. 223s brining nearly $1k and 22-250s between $1-1.2k. More than I'd spend on them. But I have 4 of them right now in the more common configurations. 243, 308, 270 and 77/22...I like them, just don't like over paying for them. The 308 I picked up was $410 out the door with a cheap scope which I sold for $35-40 so I was into it for under $400.

LGS has a .308 ss boat paddle that looks almost new for $650. Thinking hard about it. If anyone is interested, PM me and I will pass along contact info. Need to be saved from myself as I already have 6 .308s:)

299 for a Rem donor, sell stock and barrel, put new barrel on, possibly new trigger and a good stock of some kind, be in under the dollar mark, and a MUCH better non ruger rifle. Win win all around.
