Talked to a friend in north Louisiana who said there are very few ducks in his area. How is the migration going where you hunt?

Migration has been slow with above normal temps for us in the Mississippi flyway.Just now getting some southbound green heads but only about two weeks left as we hunt Iowa ducks across the Missouri.Same scenario year after year for big ducks.Probably my last nonresident Iowa license and will hunt central Nebraska in the future.

Enough to blast limits easily a few weekends ago down here. 7 folks, public land... Including mallards.(not normal for us and not generally this early)
But its weird, ducks some places, others skipped some places and went further south..
Pretty decent population so far, but 2nd split is always better.
Heard cranes at lunch while sighting my 308 back in after a scope swap.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

It's been slow this year here so far. I shot a 1 man limit in 25 minutes opening day but after all the local birds were shot at they left and the migrators haven't shown up in any real significant numbers yet. Going to give it a try Sunday, hoping the cold weather has pushed some birds south or at least froze up some of the local ponds the birds sit on.

Slow where we are here in Missouri. We hunt two hours south of St. Louis. Mostly local birds so far. Still waiting for a good push on migrating birds.

around stuttgart, arkansas there are few ducks. as i type this i can hear some folks shooting on the clubs near me, but the migration hasn't materialized as yet. temps too warm here and up north. some duck clubs had decent shooting early, but that ended soon. as of late, every farmer i talk to says the same thing, "no birds yet". ymmv.
