Nice photo and a very good NY buck. I guess he's 3.5 years old. What part of western NY are you from?

Good job and congrats! That's a nice buck! Nice picture too.
I got mine on the 2nd and only got one picture of it before the camera crapped out on me.

jonz-I'm from Amherst but shot the deer in the Town of Canadice, south of Rochester. I saved the lower jaw and at the end of the gun season take all interesting (not 1.5 year olds) deer jaw bones in to be aged. I am leaning towards the 3.5 year age on this one also. We'll see.
I take almost all my pictures of game with the self timer mode. This camera has a triple shot self timer, NICE feature.

I live in Cheektowaga, probably not too far from you. If you post a pic of the molars taken from the lingual (tongue) side I could age it for you.

Awesome! If you don't hunt NY, you might not realize how nice that buck is.

Judging the photo, I'm going to stick with my original estimate of 3.5, but I wouldn't be totally surprised if the ager called it a 2.5. Nice deer by any standards and even better with a bow!
