Funny, my phone is my hot spot for this lap top.
Goes from 3 G to 1x. Back and forth.
And just think Bob S., Dan and Pat are right now eating one fine meal in old San Antonio.

Hi guys,

tjm10025 and I made it to DeSoto tonight. We drove through the line of storms and we had no major problems on I-30 and I-40. See you all tomorrow and safe travels.

BTW FWIW google maps despises Dallas and east Texas, if you get off the highway good luck trying to get back on.

It's now 10 pm Tues, and I'm in Menard, with the rain is making abominable noises on the motel roof.

Departed the upper Upper Peninsula Sun afternoon, overnight Austin MN. Wichita with my bother Mon pm. Tuesday AM I got hailed on north of OKC. By traveling 81 south from Hennessey to Bowie Tx I avoided I-35 and then wiggled SW through Stephenville & Brownwood. The stretch from Brady to Menard whitened the knuckles a bit with 00 buckshot-sized hail, frequent scenic lightning bolts, and wind gusts jumping the Taco half-lanes sideways.

Can a native Texan identify this squall as either a toad-strangler or a duck-drownder?

Btw, I think Blue (Rio7) burned up the section of ROW between Menard and Eden Tx last year with an errant trailer tire on his way to Quemado.

Hope everybody made it safe! So how many of you (and who) exactly are down there?

Made it to camp with Pat,Dan,Joel,Bobby and Lawson.

Very nice camp and lodge rooms. No rain right now but 3 inches last night and more coming.

Wind blowing 20 plus sustained right now, as well.

Pat said the wind is not the only thing blowing.

No idea what that means.

I don't have the coordinates but I just drove to it. take the Crystal City exit from n 83 (Lake Street). Drive east to it ends on N. 7th Street (also signed as FB 582). Go north a few blocks to the next signal (E. Crockett Street, also FM 582). Turn right /east on FM 582 for about 2 miles, then right (south) on 395, Go about 100 yards and the gate is on the left.

Hope this helps.
