What do you prefer and why? In this case for a 5 pin Spot Hogg.

Thanks

Hunting - large guard. My hunting peeps are 1/4 inch or bigger, the larger size lets me see the pins and ring better in the early and twilight hours. Ymmv

Small as I can find! I currently am shooting a Fuse Profire (? cheapie whatever it is) with a 1.75" Housing / .29 pins and wish it was smaller. I like to center the housing in the peep then put the pin on the target. I also prefer 3 pin over 5. When hunting I set my 40 dead center in the pin guard and sight in. Then the top pin is sighted at 25 yards and the bottom at 50. FWIW I shot 444/450 28X Vegas with this hunting setup at leagues last week. I do adjust so top pin is on at 20 for leagues. My bow is a Hoyt Charger 31" A to A and has a huge peep to get even that smallish housing to fit inside at my 29" draw length.
