I enjoy seeing pics of working dogs do what they do so hopefully some of you will enjoy these. Not much to say about her, she turns two in April and this was her first fall hunting ducks and geese. First week after we brought her home Retrieving a drake wood duck in October, her first retrieve. We were tied off along a bank and she swam to shore and brought it over. Waiting anxiously Bringing back another drake wood duck Her first goose, still very much alive and I thought it might drown her. Hearing a few honks in the distance

A pheasant hunt in PA in November, she retrieved two roosters on that hunt Getting after a bufflehead that would not die and could not be shot again since it glided and then swam into a safety zone. She swam under water trying to get that duck, she finally cornered it and caught it. A few geese from last weekend Riding in the canoe We have duck season until the end of the month and goose season through 2/15. This was a slow year, there were more birds and retrieves than the ones pictured, but I wish I could have put her on more birds.

I could only hunt until 8am yesterday so a quick trip to the river was the plan. We had gotten a bunch of snow and everything else was frozen. Chessie waiting patiently. Doing work. The reward

Thanks for the photos. "Not much to say about her", you don't have to we can see it. Great looking dog, still a pup and got it figured out. What river or rivers?

She retrieved a pair of mergansers my buddy shot this morning, but wouldn't sit next to them for a picture. I think I heard her mutter something about "trash ducks" as she turned to walk away. She went back and sat by the river. What can I say, she has high standards.

Back at it again this fall. Here she heard some shots in the distance and looked down river. Retrieving a drake wood duck to the boat on the lake. Retrieving a drake wood duck on the river. Watching some bigfoot floaters in case they decide to try to get away.

Unfortunately- my lab is a house pet, not a hunting dog. You are fortunate in yours is probably both- but you know what a great companion they are! Treasure every day with her, I know I do with mine!

She pulls double-duty as a house pet and she's great with the kids too. Here is my one year old laying across her head while my GSP looks on in horror. What part of SW PA are you from Justin? I was born and raised in Cambria County and lived there for 23 years until I moved to Virginia in 2004.

Special Dog you have there. Pictures tell only part of the story. Have a feeling she hunts for you more than herself.
Lucky man.
