Thick cut smothered pork loin slices with garlic green beans and pressure cooked russets.Ice cold milk. Pistachio almond ice cream for dessert.

Food.com is my go to site for recipes and some of them are just killer for this simple eating guy. Darn pics get me every time !

Anyhoo, pretty good and super easy which is the way I like it.

http://www.food.com/recipe/onion-and-garlic-smothered-pork-chops-45354

Edit: This recipe is just great during cold weather but the next time I make it I'll add some sweet and sour red cabbage next to the taters and beans.

David, would this qualify as a meat and three ? smile

Well Paul, that is all behind me now.

If you have not had the old "roto-router", or "enjoyed", that barrel of Drain-o, you will learn that the "prep", is the worst of it.

Not being a doctor, I'm short a few hundred thousand dollars, and a hundred IQ points, it looks like finding cancer when it can be whipped is worth a LOT!

Still, a fellow would have to be sadistic to like the test.

Good luck with all of it, and see how fast the day comes!

Ya Richard, I'm hearing ya.

Dr says do it & be good for 10 years, before next one !

Course, Deb is his receptionist, so every yearly physical, he treats me to the tune of the "2 finger" salute !

You are "family", after all !

blush

Guess proactive is better than the other option !

Paul, doctors, along with lawyers, police, nurses, judges, tax collectors, and sundry others are folks I'd rather meet socially. But.

The tacos? Or the hot sauce? Sorry if that was misleading, I don't make my own hot sauce. The hot sauce is made by a guy I know that just moved to Colorado.

The tacos were made with yelloweye that I seasoned and pan fried with green peppers and jalapenos. I warm up the corn tortillas and put cheese on them to melt. The cooked fish comes up next with the hot sauce on top of that. Toss on a little lettuce on top of the fish and they are tasty! The picture was taken before I put the lettuce on them.

Yeah, meant the taycos. Sorry

I use Art's fish taco recipe now, but always look for something new.

I would be interested in that one. These ones I just threw together with what I had at the time. Living in the middle of nowhere you learn to make what you can with what you have :-)

Used the oven to roast the veggies: red bell pepper, onion, carrot, and of course the small potatoes.

Cooked the backstrap steaks and the crimini mushrooms in a skillet on the stovetop, seasoned only with black pepper and garlic. YUM!

That was dinner last night.

All good men.
I'll likely dine on the wife's chili she made for the church women's group soup supper.
I'll have to wait till she gets back home to try the home baked French bread.

Much better than that Gatorade, and water diet Sunday night!

Tonight it's going to be 1/3rd of a deer backstrap, cooked in a smoking hot CI pan & finished in the oven to 125*, rested & sliced + a brussel sprout & sweet tater thingy, that should look like this;

Lookin' good Paul!

It would be nice if we could entertain one a other in month or so.

Is there a Iowa hayseed dish you would like to try?
