Do the hinds make the same herd talk mews as elk?
Do elk cow calls work for red deer?

I've hunted red deer twice and can't say that I heard any hind sounds...though the bulls make such a different sound than bull elk I am sure the females differ too.
I'd imagine hind calls are made somewhere but don't really know.

This site has a series of short videos of Red deer mating calls. They're mostly stags but if turn up the sound you can hear the hinds mewing in the background. They sound very much like elk. RED DEER CALLS
