this little place, Rincon Escondido, is one of the wife's favorites. It is within walking distance, and we eat there fairly often. The food is simply out of this world.

I Love Tacos

I love this place. Best tacos in town. Shrimp tacos and wet burritos are my favorites. If you're gonna order their nachos, you better come hungry.

IL Posto

You can't find a better Italian restaurant for lunch. Everything on their lunch menu is $10 or less and it's all delicious. Comes with salad and homemade Italian bread and sauce to dip it in. I went there today and had the lasagna. The bill with tip was $11.

I live out in the country 15 miles from my town of 8000 folks so only a couple "local" that are just fine. If we head into San Antonio plenty of great places are there though we rarely eat dinner out. The place in Idaho has little but it does have a handful of places that make spot on American breakfasts. None of the British beans crap. smile Also, a couple of places that do Mexican very well.

We have a surprisingly diverse cuisine but as I'm fond of saying we have two types of service, slow and very slow.

I agree, 458.

If you haven't tried them yet, you may want to give Turkey Red out in Palmer a try. While their dishes are nothing fancy, they strive to use fresh locally sourced ingredients. Their braised beef short ribs, and "stew of the day" are really quite good.

Our Dakota Restaurant in Rocky Hill, Ct has game trophies all over with photo's of hunters with their catch.

The restaurant has an excellent salad bar and is pro hunting.

Nothing to right home about, though I can get a good pizza about 20 miles away.

On the plus side, I haven't seen anything other than white people in the last week.
