I'd rank it up there with the 26 Nos, 28 Nos, 25 WSSM, and .577 T-Rex

I've run Swedes, a Creed, 260s, and now the 47 Lapua. All are a joy and deer deadly. Good comments above.

When do you anticipate delivery?

Assuming it'll be sooner than later judging by my buddies' enthusiasm.

Hoping I'll have them in hand at least a couple months before CO 1st Rifle.

Really interested in the 6.5 Creed lately and plan to have one built after my 30-06 is complete. Should be perfect for targets, varmints, and deer at the farm.

I'm thinking that a Creed build like this; SA Remington 700 action, 22" barrel with the same contour as the RAR-P barrel, bedded in a McM Hunter stock, would be high on my build list.

Bergara B14 in a Boyds Classic pepper laminate is high on my to buy list. Chambered in 6.5CM of course.

I've been weighing the option of a criterion barrel for my savage in 6.5 creed

My build is:
Remington Action Trued
McMillan Swirly Classic ADL Black/Orange/Red
Bartelin 2b 24" threaded for suppressor
Timney @ 1.5#
Campfire knob installed and bolt ti-fluted by Kampfeld
Cerrakoted Graphite Black

Very similar to my Creedmoor build that is in the works. Using a Krieger #4. Plan on a McMillan Classic also. The wait is killing me.

The Creed, 260, and 6.5x47L are in a "sweet spot" for deer rifles, in my opinion. Hard not to like a 120-130gr bullet with decent BC and SD at a velocity of 2,850-3,000fps. And generally burning 45gr of powder or less.

I consider those 6.5's a measurable jump up in on-game performance versus 6mm's of similar case capacities.

I love my Creedmoor for hunting! I shot 2 does late season this year and this Wyoming antelope in October. Used a savage 10 predator max 1. Love it so much I'm having a long range hunting rig build in Creedmoor right now. Fun round for sure.

It'll do what a 270 will do.

this statement struck me. good observation. I sure have dropped a bunch of critters hard with a .270.

I shot a handful of deer this year with 130 Accubonds in my 6.5 Creedmoor. I rather like the chambering and the rifle package I had built.
Mine certainly isn't setting any speed records but it's wonderfully accurate and a real pleasure to shoot and to load for.

But I could see me almost as happy with a 270 and 140 Accubonds. Almost. grin
