I got one handed down to me, looking for information. It is a 250/3000 A.O. Niedner that I have yet to find actual serial numbers on the barrel. All I can find is an 05 and a 2.

Any idea of timeframe of year built. My dad told me that there were very few of these ever built.

Grab a copy of M.Petrov's book "Custom Gunmakers of the 20th Century", either volume one or two (or better yet, both) and you'll learn more than you care to know about A.O.Niedner and his guns.

Wow excellent rifle!

The serial numbers if there are any would most likely be on the left side of the front receiver ring.

You've got one heckofa fine hunting iron there; I'd cherish it and hunt the heck out of it!

Master stockmaker Tom Shelhamer worked for Niedner for many years, so that's very likely a Shelhamer stock. The checkering pattern and grip cap are the same as some of the Shelhamer stocks pictured in Monty Kennedy's book.

If you haven't done so, you might want to look under the buttplate or pull the barreled action out of the stock to check for any identifying markings.

Beautiful rifle! If not a brother, it is certainly a cousin to my rifle.

What a treasure of a rifle. Appears to be a Shellhammer stock and either a K or Kurtz Mauser or a shortened one. The other post mentioned Bieson and some others too. Hunt with it then donate it to your sons/daughters or a museum.
