Burn rate is similar to RL25?

Anyone tried it in the 300 with 200+ grain bullets?

No rc, I seldom do much test shooting any more unless I get a new rifle.. Have so much 22 that I will probably never shoot it all.. Nice to see you are still trying new stuff..

Rick, I know you like RL-33 in your .264. Have you tried 857?

Would probably work good in the big 7's.

Sounds interesting: WC857 New item. A slow burning ball type powder developed for the .50BMG tracer
ammo. This powder burns faster than the typical WC860 thru WC872 series of
powders. This powder has not been released as a canister powder. Loads can
be worked up using H-870 or AA-8700 data, less 10%. Burning rate seems to be
similar to Hodgdon H1000 or Reloder 25. An excellent choice for the .300 Win Mag,
7mm Mag, and other magnum type calibers. Good results in .25-06 with heavy bullets.
This is pulldown ball powder from Lake City.
$72/8# jug

Sounds similar to Winchester 780 supreme

I'm thinking slower than 780. My Western Powders chart shows 780 about even with N-165 and RL-22, although burn rates are approximate.

857 is reportedly closer to Retumbo, Magnum and those mentioned earlier.

Wonder how clean it burns...
