What's the consensus on 100% kydex holsters? Are they comfortable? I've always used leather or hybrid leather aND kydex.
My typical EDC is my Springfield XDS 45, in either a sticky holster or two clip hybrid leather and kydex from firearmholster.com. I'd like something easier to put on and take off so I've thought about the all kydex with a single clip. The sticky holster is fine but tends to shift around more than I'd like.
I can get any number of all kydex holsters on ebay for under $30.

My EDC is in a custom Kydex holster. Like everything else, there are pros and cons:
Pros: 1: durable as hell. I've had my holster for 2 years, not even a scratch. 2: Mine is custom molded to my gun, if you add aftermarket parts that extend beyond the factory parts, the holster won't fit right. 3: color choices, just about anything you want.
Cons: 1: noisy coming out and noisy going back in. It makes an audible click, both ways, which in itself has pros and cons. Pro being you know that your gun is reholstered and secure without looking at it. Con being the sound it makes coming out could alert the threat sooner than you wished. 2: stiff. Some people like the stiffness, some prefer the softer feel of leather.

U prefer full kydex for OWB carry and leather for IWB for the reasons mentioned above. I do have some full kydex for some of my smaller autos for quick on and off for gas station runs and the like.
Not all kydex and kydex are equal, remember that when shopping on ebay.
The sound coming out of the holster would be secondary to your movements and I would think it would be a non issue.
I also have a couple Garret Silent Thunders that I would recommend as well.

I find them about as comfortable as shoving a radio or walkie talkie down my pants- not very.
You might start by swapping your current tabs to plastic if they are steel, that made putting on my holster when I'm already wearing pants a bit easier. These are the ones I use.

The lowrider from RM Holsters is by far my favorite for iwb, low and tight to the body, almost like not wearing a holster at all. Easy on easy off too.

I mostly carry IWB and do a lot of walking, and kydex is a literal pain compared to a quality smooth leather holster in that application. For OWB it doesn't matter.
