Let the ladies enjoy all of the consequences of their responsibilities. Problem is not ALL women are flannel shirt Birkenstock, carpet munching, man hating, strap on dykes. My daughter and her freinds are Conservative and hate the mouthy liberal twats that push this agenda. Sorry they have to suffer. How is registering with Selective Service "suffering"? How is actually being treated equally under the law "suffering"?
America needs to understand that our troops are not 'disposable'. Each represents a family; Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, Cousins, Uncles, Aunts... Our Citizens are our most valuable treasure; we waste far too many.

I have a better idea. Reinstate Title Ten restrictions and get rid of all of them in the combat arms. As to djs comment, the Israelis no longer put women in direct combat roles and they were NEVER allowed into the Fighter Arm of the IAF. That alone should tell you something.
A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”

You keep glossing over meeting requirements. EVERYBODY has to meet them. Where do you get the idea that some people in the military are retained without meeting the physical requirements for combat? The VAST majority of military worldwide are male, in spite of being outnumbered by females. Why is that?

There are many young, educated women who do not buy into the Feminist Movement, or the people that speak for it. They have no use for Hillary Clinton, and won't vote for her "just because she's a woman". They have no desire to have combat roles in the military, and you know that is coming! They don't see our military as a social experiement. They believe in hard work and achievement. They see capitalism as the American Dream instead of living on SS Disability. In other words, there is hope for our sons to find a girl that still believes in the traditional family, that marriage and children are part of their future. Our sons will still find women that want a strong man to be their husband and father for their children. There are young women that aren't poisoned completely by the entitlement mentality, that don't hate men, and don't want to live in a Socialist experiement gone bad.

I never said a thing about any agenda. I agree with you on that. However, registering for Selective Service and being treated equally under the law is no "suffering". If anything, it's where we need to go in order to get rid of the bullschit preferential treatment in hiring, quotas, business loans, scholarships, etc., and all the rest of the "Affirmative Action" crap. Equal means equal.

Women want "equal rights" only when it benefits them, and preferential treatment otherwise. F'k that. Have them register for the draft with Selective Service just like everyone else. To do otherwise is patent gender discrimination and would be ruled illegal and unconstitutional in a heartbeat (if the shoe were on the other foot). Gotta say yes to this as well. Hatari, your objection doesn't hold water. The feminists have pushed for women in all military roles without thinking through the consequences. Requiring women to register for selective service is the logical consequence of their actions, and as such needs to be implemented if only to make it glaringly obvious to the majority of Americans that "equality" of the sexes in the military is a ridiculous concept. Your daughters and my daughters aren't "feminists" in the nominal sense, but they've been steeped in feminist ideology in our culture since they were born. They don't even see the ways that institutionalized feminism has made their lives cushier and easier than the young men of their generation, and they won't begin to see it until some of the things like Selective Service come home to roost. Time to wake up, ladies!

If there is a draft of women I can assure you that tampon sales will take a nose dive.

Canada has never had a military draft, so they'd be safe here. All our soldier boys have always been volunteers. Better brush up on your Canadian history, amigo! You couldn't be more wrong. Canada enacted conscription legislation during both WW1 and WW2. It was a far kinder and gentler selective service process than that enacted in the USA, but you can't say Canada's armed forces have always been all-volunteer.
