The same thing as would happen if any of the others is elected.

This country has been destroyed by the previous politicians. Anyone who thinks that electing a single person will change the trajectory of this country is a fool.

Perhaps it can't completely right the ship, since so many people have an 'odd' approach in this country. But I'm pretty sure a few wrong Supreme Court Justices can make things more bad.

Call me a fool, but I think it can be done as it was done with Reagan. I still have hope, not much, but some.

I have zero faith in Rubio the establishment puppet.

I have faith in Ted, but Both the Republican and Democrat establishments hate him so bad they will tie his hands so tight he won't even be able to unzip his pants to piss.

Trump may not be the almighty savior many hope he will be, but he is the only chance we have and we better not falter here and allow anther Democrat in the WH.

I guess they could technically change the trajectory, but it's still gonna be a downward spiral. The Supreme court might recognize a few rights for another generation, but they will never reign in the federal government enough to allow us the freedom necessary to save the country.

And while Reagan rescued us from the malaise of Carter, economically we're worse off than before he took office.

I think he will do at some of the things. Congress swill block others.The most important thing,as Steelhead mentioned is the appointment of 2-4 new Supreme Court Justices.It a Democrat gets in and he/she gets to appoints those justices, the United States as we know today is doomed, if it is not already from the current POTUS .

And if trump is elected as an R but is really still a D in disguise...

I would hope some patriotic citizen would keep the pledge regarding the blood of tyrants.

And, I would hope I'd be on that person's jury.

I don't think he ever intended to get elected, just gut the party at the Clintons command. Now he is trying to find a way out. Lets pretend he gets elected....Watch him pull a Palin and quit! "The country is not being fair to Donald"

That's exactly what I'm expecting.

Trump climbed the ladder and is at the top as a businessman. He doesn't need this headache. He had a sure thing going before running. Yes he has things to gain by being POTUS but what if he is actually sincere? What if he wants things better for future generations? We are taking a chance if we vote for Trump but there is no way he will be worse than the muzzie or the bitch.

I think we need to equal out the balance of power. There were three separate branches for a reason. The executive has become way too powerful and the legislative has become un-effective.

I like Cruz but I think he'll cause a stalemate.

Trump is a liberal...I don't vote for liberals.

In my view, based on what I know about him and from those I know who have interacted with him, he is a good man with all the principles and weaknesses that one might expect from a successful businessman, I have myself known and interacted with more than a few of those, and believe me, I have known much, much worse.

I see him as in it to win.

I take him seriously about wanting to clean up many aspects of government that are totally screwed up and he really does have a talent for surrounding himself with talented advisors. You know the points; he has mentioned them often enough. (Economy, national security, military, tax system, health care, etc., etc. )

Thus I do believe that he could accomplish much that we all want and would try hard to get there. I also think that he would get more results than the others.

You are dead-on that the biggest single issue is cleaning up the Supreme Court. I have personally known and spent time with the two good ones and to a slight degree back in law school with Ruth Ginsberg whom I do not favor. Some scholars and pols may say that Constitutional principles permit flexibility and change to honor developments in mores and values. I know all about that, but in many respects that argument has gone way too far. Trump would strike a good balance in getting candidates who respect the original principles.

Now, he may not succeed. There are other decent ones. If he does, though, I'd love to see Cruz on the Supreme Court to face up against Roberts.

It's never been a matter of need, it's about feeding his ego. He was a business man and was surrounded for many years by people who would kiss his butt all day and tell him how great he is. Then, that wasn't enough. He didn't need any money, but he did the reality TV show, to get even more attention for himself. Now, that isn't enough. Now he has millions of adoring Trumpeters fawning on him and the media sitting on his every word. It's just the next logical step in his insatiable ego appetite.
