BLOOMBERG – Rick Perry, the former Texas governor whose own presidential ambitions were dashed last year, is working with a new super-political action committee that plans to enlist prominent veterans to support Ted Cruz’s campaign for the White House.
The group also plans to highlight veterans’ issues during the course of the campaign, said Kathy Walt, a former Perry chief of staff who is working with the group. Among those who will be joining Perry, Walt said, are the decorated former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell; Dakota Meyer, a Marine Corps veteran and Medal of Honor recipient; and Taya Kyle, the widow of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle.
They and Perry “are all going to be swinging for the fences in support of Cruz,” Walt said. The new group, known as Keep the Promise to Veterans, formally registered with the Federal Election Commission on Thursday.

That could make for some interesting promises...

It's amazing how self evident it is why SOME people support Trump.

I don't think I would say no to any SP money, regardless of from who.
Candidates are essentially removed from any interactions with the Pacs, anyways.

This won't hurt, at all.
I wish he was getting it from Chapo, though.

The last thing Cruz needs is anything "Spearheaded" by Perry. With 155 delegates being awarded in Texas, and Perry being a favorite son, Trump would give his right nut, to be the beneficiary of this deal. Throw in Oklahoma and Arkansas as well. Some of y'all are too ignorant of politics to be embarrassed when you make a SSSC. [Supersized stupid comment]

How many delegates does he need to be President? None. A candidate needs 1,444 or so to become the nominee then it requires 270 electoral college votes to win the presidency.

It's a Veterans oriented PAC. Some may have missed that point.

Perry had his chance. I happen to like him and would have been happy to support him but it didn't work out that way so we're left with who we have.
