Hmmmm.....that's weird. Works pretty fast in 3rd world Africa. I will have my webmaster check it out tomorrow.
If anyone else find it slow or at an acceptable speed, your comments will be appreciated.

Marius,
A couple of things:
When you hover over any items on the drop down menus the item disappears. It's very distracting.
On the price list the gray writing on the gray background is hard for us older guys to read.
The Paypal option to use credit cards is great, transfers can be a pain.

Looks great to me and is working fast on my side.
I'm thinking may have to set up a Cape Buff hunt for next year.

Grin Thank you sir. Really pleased to hear that it is running smoothly. Not sure why some of the fellas here found the website slow. Thanks again for taking the time to comment.

I tried it again, just now, and it took 20 secs. to completely load the home page. Most people would give up on such a slow webpage, so you need to do something to fix this.
I'm using Chrome.

Nice. Your missing a big market by not having a camera safari for us old folks that have done the Africa hunts already. I'd like to bring my daughter out for snap shots with a camera not a rifle at this time. LOL

It took 7 seconds to load the home page from my end - good enough for me.
I liked the drop down menu showing shot placement on different game. That would be interesting to newbies to Africa hunting.

Also, thanks for the rest of the comments. I checked and also asked my webmaster to upgrade the server, which it has been brought to my attention, could be a factor. Apparently, it could run smooth in RSA, but could be slow in the USA, which is obviously not acceptable. Whether that has happened in the meantime, I have no idea, but it will happen.

Still very long load times. For those who are reporting shorter times, make sure it is your first time after opening the browser as things are stored in cache that make subsequent attempts take much less time.
I can't think why a slower server would make things slower to display in the U.S. as opposed to the RSA.
I think it much more likely that the designer got fancy and is doing lots of things before finishing the display of the page. I've seen this over and over again in web design. It's really hard to keep these guys in check. Simple is better when it means faster.

Thanks. I know that they are upgrading the server now, and they said that we have to do a couple of things when I get back to the RSA to help it along.

Hello,
Nice website. I could have missed it, but any chance for listing 1x1 rates for plains game hunts?
Is there any PG to hunt during/after the buffalo hunt, without having to fly to the east cape?
Thanks, Tom

Thanks, Tom Hi Tom, All day rates are listed below each trophy price list under the tab "Prices" Yes, there are plains game available without the need to relocate to the Eastern Cape. Take Care, Marius Goosen

I just thought to check this again today. It's faster, but still too slow. It took 16 seconds for the initial load of the home page. Most people will have closed the page before then. Perhaps not coincidentally, clicking on the Zimbabwe sub-link of the Gallery section also took 16 seconds to see the first photos.

I have asked my local web designer to try his best to fix it, as I would have liked to keep on supporting him, however not at the expense of any business. Could you please try this link: http://hortenjeger.com/kmg/ This is my website on another server and will probably give us the answer we need.

. From a 4 year old computer in rural Kentucky. This link fully loaded the first time in 7-8 seconds. Reload in 3 seconds. Not too bad. I have asked my local web designer to try his best to fix it, as I would have liked to keep on supporting him, however not at the expense of any business. Could you please try this link: http://hortenjeger.com/kmg/ This is my website on another server and will probably give us the answer we need. This link took 22 seconds for initial load. Reload still took about 20 seconds. Night and day difference. Hey fellas, We have recently updated our website. Please take a moment to visit our new website and post your comments. Marius: I just watched your 9 minute promo video on the Africa Hunting site. First class production!

What do you think, Ingwe? A 175 grain partition just behind the shoulder of a sable?

I've been in Namibia, Marius. I just clicked on the new link and it took 9 seconds to load versus 16 seconds for the old link.

Thanks Guys. It is much appreciated. This is as good as it will go. The website was moved to an international server with the top bells and whistles. Had it not been better this time around, I would have had to redesign the entire thing, and cut back on a lot.
Thanks for your feedback.
