This is a project Ive been working on since buying a 6 acre hay field who ever built it used pine post that have rotted over the last hundred years. The hay field had been planted in corn for ten yrs in a row and I had to re seed but finally have a good stand of grass.I make several hundred square bales a year and sell them to horse people.

I always heard that the horsepeople really like native warm season grass. Timothy and such. I too thought clover was usually avoided, especially first cut.
