Having to put in a new cross fence for cattle. Probably 4 strand barbed wire.

Only one option at the angle point... Turn 90 degrees and go through 900ft of thick brush and tall oaks... frown

Gotta add 2 gates for ranch roads. whistle

As soon as things dry out I'll start fencing and updating.

Pretty fair project as far as work goes. smile

Last year we built 15 miles of high fence to replace 30 year old high fence, we took out 1/4 mile and cleared right of way and built 1/4 mile of new fence every day till we finished, all new H-braces and gates and cattle guards, we start on 5 more miles Monday, will be happy as I can be when we finish this project. I have a back pasture fence I have to replace at the same time.

You wouldn't believe that fenceline... Brushy. Can't even walk to it in most spots.

You'll be able to drive down it when I'm done.

Hard on old men and equipment though... wink

Maybe get someone to come in with a grubber?

Cut a lane down property line.

Someone that knows what they are doing can cover some ground.

Fences that have been in place for 30 years, have a windrow of brush, grass, weeds, sand, we take the old fence down remove all posts and take a dozer and push the windrow down, and then smooth up the right of way with a grader, then we build the fence in the middle of a 40 foot right of way, takes a lot of work but when we finish up can drive down the fence on both sides. we disc both sides of the right of way for a fire brake. Man I hate Fencing...The Wife and I are working on about two miles of it right now. Found that I now have no choice but to Fence our current Socialist Society out because No Trespass signs are completely ignored.

Sounds like you fellas have more fencing to do than I, but I've got about 1,000 feet to do this spring. I'm actually looking forward to it because my daughters are old enough to help this time, and the oldest is actually interested in learning how to do it. Hard work is good, especially when the kids are involved.

Got my survey instrument out and staked the fenceline.

It should be straight, anyway... smile

Now I see why you procured the Cool Tool for the back of your Traction Machine. Just call the Family out for a BBQ and have them stuff Poles in Holes as you Drill and it will be done in no time! smile
