Quail season ended in February, so come March, it was time to shoot the Nikon instead of the Weatherby. Rica and I made photo trips to the Kofa Mountains in southwest Arizona, the Grand Canyon, and the Valley of the Gods in southeast Utah.

Great captures Doug!

Great photography is not about being in the right place at the right time, it is about putting yourself in the right place at the right time.

Thanks David. Let me try and fix the bottom. I guess the max # images has been reduced to 6.

Joel at CameraLand had a special for a day on Nikon gear last month, so I jumped on a new Nikon 200-500mm and have used it at the Grand Canyon and local wetlands.

Heavily cropped

OK, it's onto April 1 and some Tom Foolery with the turkeys. Make it a good one.

The coloration of the turkey is so different than our eastern birds, very cool.

Always liked red winged blackbirds. Nice pic.
