Just ran across a few boxes of older Remington Mohawks ... does anyone know the reported velocity of these bullets ?

That's the stuff in the brown and yellow boxes, right?Typical hi-velocity stuff, IIRC. Somewhere around the 1200-1250 mark, I'd guess.
I didn't like it, we had a lot of troubles with bullets loose in the cases, and they'd bend if not exactly right in tubular magazines like my old Marlin 60, or my cousin's 550-1.

My uncle used to buy them several cases at a time, and coon hunted with them in his Nylon 66. Dunno how much of the stuff he shot up, but he wore out THREE of those rifles during his coon-hunting days. He still has the fourth Nylon rifle, and still uses it, too. He'll be 91 this year.

You can roll a turd in peanuts, dip it in chocolate, and it still ain't no damn Baby Ruth.
