Also got the herb garden planted and the vegetables will go in tomorrow.

Along with a bunch of milkweed and lavender in the ground.

Very nice!

Just off the shredder here a bit after dark. Was a nice but long weekend.

But we made time for a nap both days.

Nice! Heading home about a month ago a strong double appeared North of town. I couldn't snap a pick since I was zooming down the freeway. Very distracting.

You sure that's not an arc-flash coming off those transmission lines?

On the other hand, why is there Rainbow colors over your house, you buy a .270?

It's coming, cabinets should be going in tomorrow. All last week was prep work and finding termites.

The bug guy came out and find 2 spots where there were termites and I'm just having the entire house treated. They will be out here the end of the week to do it.

Good idea! Those damn things are kinda' like a cancer. If you don't take the most aggressive treatment available and keep treating them they come right back. Our old church fought them for the 40+ years I was a member there.

We'll knock their dicks in the dirt. There were none around the last inspection, but that was 3 years ago. They'll treat and I'll have the come around once a year.

They said if they find termites in a year's time they will retreat the entire house on their dime.

One more year. My yard will give yours a run for its money.

Having cameras at the ready has really made the world smaller.

It fell, well partially, in June 2014. It was a hackberry.

I miss looking at it and the shade. Of course hackberry are messy trees. I'm still contemplating my 'next move.

The tree to the port side is an elm and that's my deer hanging tree.

Having had trees fall on about everythign we've owned over the years, and as mcuh as we need shade 9 months of the year....

I hate trees that don't have at least a 50 foot buffer to anything valuable..

One spring evenign I parked our tractor under an elm. Getting off I listened to the weather and with storms coming, I went back out and parked the tractor out in the pasture about 100 feet past the tree since it was sitting under the tree plus under a BIG limb..

You guessed it, winds came, broke the tree and plopped the big limb about 100 feet from teh tree. On the tractor...

I'm still cutting trees and need to cut more that are to close to houses/barns etc....

I wish I was at that point... house is fairly safe, moms is fairly safe but another barn isn't. Same for my old taxidermy shops that will likely be our winter housing in the future... have to stay on top of those things..
