The wife's Kimber SA is 308. Thinking of converting it to 260 Rem which would be just a barrel swap. Who would you suggest for barrel manufacturer or how else would you skin this cat?

I'd send it to Pac-Nor.

I believe Hart will also duplicate most contours.

And Lilja has a slightly heavier version of the Montana contour worked up with another Campfire member in addition to an "exact" replacement.

My Montana dupe barrel is ready at Hart right now, so guess that tells you who I would go with. Know it's a dupe, took the rifle to them to make sure! They will do the heavier as well, just need to give them the dimensions you want.

Great people, great barrels. I'd then have it coated to match the receiver.

Good luck!

Why did you replace?

Sorry, missed this previously. I am replacing the barrel to change calibers. Going from 270 WSM to 350 Rem mag.
