I went to an auction about 5 years ago to buy essentially the same gun in the same condition. I never even got my number raised up. The gun landed at 2700.

That was then and this is now, but nevertheless, these don't show up everyday...

A Savage 99 with a 20 inch barrel is about a perfect lever action. The 99T is the best of the lot.

Since it is such a nice condition T, I went ahead and lettered it, so I would have the papers with it. It lettered as a 99-T, originally made in caliber 250-3000 Savage. It was shipped from the Savage factory in Utica, N.Y. on May 8, 1935. The original consignee is entered as the California Hardware Co. of Los Angeles, CA.

Hey, I live, unfortunately, on the "Left" coast and I do use my M99s. I mostly use them for hunting in Wisconsin though. grin
