Bernie is counting on the FBI to save his campaign to derail Clinton. It looks more and more to me like a good plan.

Hillary will try to throw her delegates to Biden to stop Sanders.
That is probably illegal, but just an inconvenient minor detail for Democrats.
Then Warren rides in on her white horse, shouting “Hey, wait just a damn minute!”

One thing for sure, it will open the floodgates to try to drown Trump with his upcoming fraud court cases.
Hillary had to hold off on those targets because Trump would counter-punch with her legal problems.
Biden and Warren will not have that problem.

Biden's big problem is that he needs Warren to pull a lot of highly pissed far left Bernie supporters back into the party. And women for Clinton voters.
That team may not have to worry about women and especially Hispanic women voting for Trump.
The Donald is solving that problem for them.

If Biden pulls in Elizabeth Warren on a winning ticket, the Dems lose a Senate seat as Gov. Baker can appoint a Republican replacement.

So not sure Warren will happen. The Dems want the Senate back as much as they want the White House.

If the laws were followed, controlling the senate is more important than the president. However, the way its been the last 8 years with the president ignoring the law and congress letting him get away with it, owning the president is huge.

Hell, he was still crowing that Failin' Palin was going to run in '16 (right up until the first primaries) to "save us all".

In an ideal world I would like to see her loose big in the general election, followed by a trial and lifetime sentence.

And the House. We tried get a different Republican Senator in the primaries, but failed. We have one good one and one that is so-so, but both Republican. If you have good members in both, the President would be controlled, as the founding Fathers designed it. miles

You better pray Sanders isn't the Dem candidate. Trump won't stand a chance against him. All of those potential "cross over" Democrats say the same thing...they'll vote for Trump if he runs against Clinton, but not Sanders.

I don't know about a replacement for Klinton at this stage but strategically speaking Trump is far better off facing her in the general.

Getting outside of the closed society at 24hcf I see a lot of folks who don't like Trump because they're scared of him as a loose cannon but they think Hillary is far worse, they know she's a flat out criminal. Mostly they are Bernie fans.

If it's Trump vs. Klinton I see Trump with a clear, quite possibly landslide win because the Bernie voters/Trump haters stay home while the Bernie voters who are ambivalent about either candidate vote for Trump as the lesser of two evils.

But if you take Hillary out of the game and put Bernie in I'm afraid Trump has some serious competition. I don't really know the ramifications of some other Democratic candidate pair but the Trump haters would most likely have someone they could at least hold their noses and vote for, just like straight R ticket voters had to do in the last two elections.



I say we start a huge email and call-in campaign to the DNC demanding that they support Hillary and make sure she gets the nomination. It would be to Trump's best advantage...

Not so. In 2004 when Kerry was running for President the state legislature stripped Romney of his ability to appoint a replacement and changed it so a special election must be held.
They were not going to let a Republican take a Mass senate seat.

if a re-set occurs, then the demo's will become democratic socialists on their ltrhead. the repubs will become nationalistic democrats on their ltr head.

the independent ranks will grow. they will be the swing vote, and the ones that help the socialists and new democrats devise their respective agendas.

just think of soros, bloomberg, & koch , and others. nothing new is going to happen under the rule of either party except more taxes, and re-distribution by the party in charge to reduce the amount of blood running in the streets for as long as possible.
