After trying a few, shooting/handling, I decided on the 930 Syn. It feels fine for me, less expensive some others I tried. Comes with shims to alter LOP and cast. Just waiting for it to get to local FFL. Maybe Redneck or passport will chime in and let me know any pros and cons about. It's going to be used primarily for upland birds and a little trap. Nothing fancy, just wanted it. Happy Father's Day to all!

This 930 has probably another 1000 rounds of Universals through it since I wrote the article. I shortened the stock an inch, so my wife could shoot it, and she shot it so well I just gave it to her. http://www.thesixgunjournal.net/the-mossberg-930-fieldsecurity-combo/

Sarge, Your's is not the only favorable article I've read about the 930. I've really haven't heard many negative things regarding this shotgun. For my use, perfect. That, or my 20ga Wingmaster. But, I wanted a 12ga S/A, so, there it is. The one I purchased is the "Duck Commander" version with camo stock and OD green receiver and barrel. Just couldn't on the price.

You'll like it. It's basically the same valving system as the Browning Gold/Silver and Winchester SX 2/3.
They have a very good reputation with duck hunters.

Thanks Dakota, Probably won't do any waterfowl with it, but plenty of upland bird chasing and some trap. Looking forward to getting it.
