I'll be chasing about fifty dogs while their owners are off doing the fun stuff.

But hey, that's what I get paid for.

will be taking it easy. No real plans. Probably go out to my son's place and do some shotgunning at targets.

Work on the new house, got the to do list down from three pages to a little more than half a page. Painting the newly installed garage door is the biggest of the projects left to do the rest are all small stuff. Sunday will go to church in the morning and then cookout with our daughters.

Finally got all my fencing done... grin

Not before I sweated off a few pounds though. (I had planned to be done while it was still cool, but the rain hampered me on that. Then it got hot and humid.)

How's the new tractor working out?

LOL, we had a lot of dead cedar to trim out and firewood to cut... same chit here... rain killed most of that, now we are still doing it in the heat now... but alas, we are both old enough and decided that 3-4 hours in the mornings on weekends is enough chainsaw stuff and time for a nap and lighter work in the evenings... just don't get as much accomplished...

I have a long enough list...that I won't get it all tackled.

Best of the weekend, Saturday we have over our nephew, back from 4 years in the Marines and family will be over for a pizza party.

We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

Here in the front yard, so to speak,...

Morning, fairly early.

* Old flag to half staff
* Invocation and short blessing from a local sky-pilot
* 3 rounds blank, 1/4Lb heavily wadded with floor dry in aluminum foil, musket cap / inertia lock.
* Old flag to ground, and folded,....
* New flag to full staff (perhaps on a new , taller pole)
* 3 rounds (blank, same) for the flag
* I round in memory of Sheriff Larry Dever. That one may be a little stouter than any prior.

Quiet day among friends in BBQ smoke

Evening,....

*At the very least, one good stout blank charge

Will try for pics

Get the grandkids and great-nephews (5 in all) up and out early to replace the current flag and raise the new one - with pledge and a couple of appropriate songs.

Then, pankcakes/etc. for breakfast and rev up the old Fire Truck and the old Mack LTL and head up the road 21 miles for the small town parade.

Decorate the vehicles once we get there and the kids will be in RWB, then they will ride on the trucks and toss nice candy treats to those along the route.

Then home to an afternoon of shooting, etc. followed by the cookout - then BIG fireworks in the pasture. Come on down !!

Weather finally settled down a little and we finally started haying.

It'll be swathing and baling non-stop until we get caught up.
Probably say fuuck it though and take an afternoon off on Sunday or Monday.

At least my wife had to go to Bozeman for work this week and shouldn't complain too much about another boring holiday at home.

And oh yeah, it's been fireworks season here since early June. The locals are very patriotic...

Working on our hay here. Hopefully knocking a bunch down sat/sun, baling Monday and Tuesday. We're ahead of the curve this year, hopefully we can keep it that way.

Visiting with out of town relatives that are here for my Sister's funeral. Maybe take my Sister's son and his wife to see the Truman Dam fireworks display if they have one on the 4th this year. Pretty much a sad weekend for us.

Work is done for a while so heading to Kiawah Island for a few days. Lots of beach time, a little fishing, a little golf, and lots of good seafood!
