My local pawn/sport shop has an Orvis "Trident" 3 weight, 8'4" two piece rod for sale.
It is as new with no sign of wear or use ANYWHERE I could see - for instance the silver rod butt cap has no markings or scratches on it what so ever and the cork handle has no stains or sign or use at all.
It is in the proper Orvis case with slip cover.
I saw it last Saturday for the first time and I visit the shop daily.
It is on consignment at $150.00.
The fellow I was visiting the shop with that day said it was a good buy and one of Orvis's better models - he is a recently retired long time Montana river fishing guide.
I don't know much at all about rods but I liked this one?
