I think I hurt myself. Lol.

Made two sauces.
One was a simple pesto and wht wine sauce. OO, basil, pine nuts, garlic. Pretty standard pesto....

The other was a simple clam sauce of OO, butter, wht wine, garlic, shallot, fresh chopped parsley and oregano, pinch of red pepper flakes, squeeze of lemon, and of course S&P.

I piled both sauté pans full of beautiful little Manila clams and steamed them for a couple minutes.

Boiled up a pot of linguine and tore a big loaf of fresh crusty bread in half.

Cold beer.

I couldn't stop.

I get all the clams I want for free. A buddy farms them over at Cedar Key.

I mostly steam them, and dip them in butter with lemon juice

That's how I get mine as well. Buddy has a shell fish business. Clams and oysters out of Quilcene Bay.

Have a few dozen oysters to schuck and grill for this weekend as well!

Winner! But why stop there? smile

Add mussels with the clams, shrimp, scallops and maybe a can of diced clams. Calamari can be added as well.

The lobster tails are optional but in this case they were staring me in the face at the market so I threw them in.

Grab a home made fusilli if you can and have at it. Feeds an army.

Bob, that looks awesome. You've obviously got access to some great seafood up there.

As a first gen American of Italian immigrants the house saw a lot of fish. Clams, oysters and mussels did nothing for me as I was forced to gag over them nor as an adult where I could choose. Abalone ranks the same. That said, my dear Mother would bread oysters, fry them and feed them to my two older son's (then 4 and 6) telling them it was chicken. They ate the hell out of them and still do 20 years later. Me? No.
