Received this from a forum member.Didn't love it at first, but I've been fondling it for a day and it's really growing on me. This will make a great deer knife as well as a B&T.

Looks good to me but in the hands is what helps to tell the tale.

That's a nice design. Once you start actually usin' it, you'll probably like it even more...!
I really like that blue G-10.

IIRC I have only two of May's knives. Both are scary sharp with a toothy edge. The fit and finish on both are excellent. I would bet it is the same with yours. One thing for sure. You will not have to worry about laying it down and not being able to spy it.

Good stuff!

I love a good B&T pattern knife. What didn't you like about this one at first?

Good to hear it's growing on you.....

The handle was just a touch too slim for my liking.

The blade is more upswept than I thought, but it works works well with this knife. I believe it will make a good skinner for such a narrow blade.

Nice! And like GW said, you won't have to worry about laying it down in the grass and losing it.

I use an Ingram #4 to gutless debone and quarter deer for the backpack and it works very well for the chore. I plan on putting my Dowell B&T to work this fall doing the same. I have high expectations of Brett's M4 steel, really looking forward to wringing it out.

Forget about this one until an email today. In bound.

Yeah man! I like that Slitter just fine. Both of these May knives look excellent. I like Mr. May's sheaths too.

A May Slitter paired with his B&T is a great combo.

Any pictures of the back of his sheathes...Does he just fold over for the belt loop or lower it to hold the knife higher on your belt...

The red jigged is nice. Been looking at the BUK95 on his website. Anyone have and use this model.

I have a buk95. Never used it. Nice size knife. I like em with a ~ 3 1/2" blade.

I'm out of pocket or I'd post a May leather sheath for you.

I know you have several nice knives. Be interested in your all around favorite. I really like this and the new red one,

I field dress my deer. If a blade is too upswept it gets in the way while making the cut from genitals to sternum, but this blade is short enough for me to get my finger under the point.

Obviously a drop point is better than a trailing point for field dressing. Like you said, you can choke up and get your finger out there and it is workable.
