A few years ago I wrote a very short, fictional elk-hunting story using plenty of words like Leupy, Winnie, etc. Supposedly I used my Fordy pickup to head up into the mountains and take a "spikey elky." Posted it here and quite a few people took it seriously, congratulating me. Apparently adding a "y" to almost any noun is considered standard English these days by many shooters.

Ranks right up there with turning nouns into verbs.

Or you could do and "ie", much trendier than simply adding a "y".

What was wrong with REM or WIN?

How much time does it save to add a Y or an ie?

Are highschool girls really the coolest people on the planet? So much that we all try to sound like them?

Makes us sound a bit vapid.

Don't know why the use of that vernacular bothers me, but it does.

Is that similar to "fixin"? Like I'm fixin to go shoot some yoties. [/quote]

Fixin has been around since the first of us rednecks reached the South...

fixin to
vernacular peculiar to the the southern US, means one is about to do something or it is in the process of being done.
I'm fixin to whoop yo skanky butt, however I must first wax poetic.

Sam

I think men do this just horse-assing around and having fun, I'm no fuggin grammar cop and don't give a chit how they write, I don't wear panties, so no danger here of twisting! crazy

The fuggers that are ocd about grammar/writing can get off their lazy retired asses and go volunteer to teach it proper if it REALLY is a bother, and not just something they use to get a bitch on like a bloviating woman.

.270's are legit.

6.8's are like walking around with a pillow case full of dicks. They're that gay.

I feel that you have directed that remark at me personally.

You have taken this thread off-topic in so doing.

You've made me angry, and I simply must lash out!

You leave me no choice!
