hglass,

You want the best bow out there? Go to your local Oneida dealer and try the Black Eagle. Smoothest drawing, quietest most vibration free bow out there. True IBO rating at well over 300 fps.. Also, Oneida is the brand of bow that the ASA banned from their shoots because the Oneida gave an unfair advantage to their users. Lawdog

hglass - I know I'm a little late, but here goes... The top 4 bows on the market, in order, are Mathews, Hoyt, PSE, and Martin(in sales) - Professional tourney wins, its - Mathews(by a LONG ways), Hoyt, Martin, and PSE... - Look it up - those are facts... Now, my own personal experiences - I'm an open class 3D shooter, an avid bowhunter, and a near scratch spot shooter(I currently have a 296 season average in a sanctioned 300 league... I've been shooting Mathews bows since '98, and IMHO, there are NONE better... I have friends who have shops(3 different ones) selling Mathews, Hoyt, and PSE that I'm pretty involved with - so, I see what goes on with the different makes... I'd say that the 4 aforementioned ALL make a fine bow - you really can't go wrong with any of THEM... I shoot 300 to 400 arrows per week, and my Mathews bows have been TOTALLY RELIABLE - for a hunting bow, they can't be beat - how's 18 deer(several good bucks, BTW) in 5 seasons sound??? Buy a Mathews - you won't be sorry...

whitetailsniper - how do I put this... You're so full of CRAP that it isn't funny!!!... You obviously know NOTHING about Mathews bows - between 3 local shops that've sold HUNDREDS of them, I'm told there's been way less than 10 TOTAL returned for warranty work - and a majority of those were due to abuse(dry firing, shooting a string in such poor condition that it broke, etc...). Mathews bows are as reliable as ANY, and more than most - Take a look at who's racking up the lion's share of professional tourney wins - Mathews wins 3 times more than any others... If Mathews is such junk(like you claim), why is it they are in the WINNERS CIRCLE SO MUCH????

Lawdog - 15 years ago, Oneida was tops - they haven't been close in ATLEAST the last 10 years... I've seen so many of them come apart while being shot, it isn't funny( a few guys got hurt, too) When was the last time an Oneida won ANYTHING???... If they've been banned, it's because they're a danger to be around when being shot... The Oneida Eagle is an outdated design that probably won't be around too much longer - why do you think they've been sold/moved a couple of times??? They used to be built less than a half an hour from my house - I visited their plant while it was still in NY... Get with the times, bud - and get a real quality bow - Mathews, Hoyt, PSE, or Martin...
