Thanks. I wish you could also. This is what it looked like before I changed everything out. It will blow the hide clean off a buck, and great on large coons too

I'll put up a pic of my 50 Beowulf this weekend. Just a black gun with a big hole at the end. It draws some attention at the range, and pigs hate it.

which one is the easiest to reload for? I have pretty much gotten out of the 223 guns, selling them off to finance this type of insanity.

Why is there a gap in the handguard. i am not really sure! i completely missed that as this was my first AR. will have to see if there is any reason for it or if it was just assembled that way . be right back.lol

just what i suspected. screws weren't tight and recoil had moved it. i think that when i bought it on GB that the seller had it set up different and changed it around to fit the pictures, and didn't get things tightened down. the gas block was loose when i got it. the hazzards of buying on the innernet. still a fun thumper though. reloading is easy. i don't try much in the heavy loads though. i have a 45-70 mauser for that. this one seems to really like the combined tec. silvertip's the best.

I can try to weigh it. It really isn't very heavy at all. My RRA Predator is much heavier.....

I love the damm thing. Accuracy is excellent with factory or handloads.
I almost bought a Trident upper. Glad I didn't......

I loaned mine to a friend that has a cabin way up in Porum Okla, that place is run over with pigs, he waylayed 12-15 pigs one week over bait, he recovered no bullets [245 Barnes] either.
He promptly went to Ft. Smith and bought a 450 Bushmaster, but he got a nice camo model and installed a 2.5-8 Leupold, he's happy.

Another happy Bushmaster owner here. It's just a plain jane 20inch factory upper, and a complete Bushmaster factory lower with Ace Skeleton stock. The only things that I have changed out are the grip and the trigger group. It shoots the Hornady factory ammo so well that I don't plan to reload for this cartridge. My brother shot a buck with it last year and the Hornady ammo performed well (neck shot = no tracking required).

just what i suspected. screws weren't tight and recoil had moved it. Take it back off again and put green loctite #680 on the barrel nut. Midwest will probably send you some if you don't have it, it comes in a little tube with their handguards when you buy one.

Mine is more of a mid-bore but still a thumper, I call it a 358 Herrett; uses 6.8 SPC brass in a slightly shortened 357 Herrett chamber, and a 358 bore, 1:14 twist to handle heavy bullets. It mostly shoots 200gr bullets for the 35 Rem at 2150-2300 fps, and 255gr hollow point or 270gr solids subsonic/suppressed.

Yondering, that 358 Herrett looks cool! My Dad had a 357 Herrett Contender barrel many years ago. I didn't know they had a rimless version for the AR.
