The question is why are you driving in the left lane then? I believe the law in MT is to travel in the right hand lane unless passing or turning. Though I've never heard of anyone actually getting ticketed for it. I wish they would enforce it though. You also are permitted to go 10 over in order to pass.

Actually we weren't in a hurry(in the right lane...) but when wife fell asleep the Explorer momentarily hit triple digits. Not another vehicle on the highway for miles......

Careful RezDawg, I've read on here that you are NOT permitted to travel over the posted limit! And by Gawd they'll block all lanes of traffic to ensure it!

Perhaps for a while.

At some point though I suspect a decent Ukrainian/Ruski/KGB team would plow an opening.

I was more worried about a tire blowing.

Cruising about 90, slow down to 74.

Wife asked, "Why'd you slow done?"

We're doing 74....

She replies, "Well it seems like we are going slow"....

And around here you will have 2 trucks side by side going below the speed limit for miles on end, across Iowa, Illinois, Tennessee, Missouri, Indiana, and Kentucky.

On the drive back I asked her, "Remember that time you gave me road head?"

She sarcastically replied, "I was stoned".

I have a sales territory that requires about 1,000 miles a week to manage, so I'm on on the road a good bit. I love it when I consistently help the truck drivers on the road, only to have one pull out in front of me, unnecessarily, a few miles from home. Pos will slow roll at about 20 under the speed limit for the next few miles. Makes me regret the courtesy that I extended to them earlier in the day. Nonetheless, I help them when I can.

Those here who have never spent time in the driver's seat of a semi have no clue.

I think the right thing to do is make all trucks illegal. That was those scum of the earth truck drivers won't bother anyone any more.
