I like the dial too. Kinda feels like you are cracking a safe when you open it.

Brown Safe….

the only gun safe that has a burglary rating.

The rest have a 10 min, or less, residential tin box rating.

I changed the mechanical lock on my son's safe because it wasn't very smooth with a new S&G mechanical lock. I ordered a new lock off ebay and it wasn't too expensive. There are good videos on how to set the combination.

Good video here.

I have two safes and a home alarm system that reports a break-in. We set the alarm anytime we're away from home.

Thanks. I have installed and changed combinations on maybe a thousand S&G locks. I was a locksmith for my last two years in the Navy and for a bunch of years after. I was just not sure how the doors were set up. It would bake sense if the electronic locks were set to operate the same way with the holes drilled and tapped for both but I was not sure. I will check out the youtube link.

I can still buy wholesale and I am pretty sure that will beat Amazon.
