Anyone have experience with these new shotshells on Coyotes? They look impressive on paper, but...
Recommended choke restriction? Thanks

I shoot extra full to a .660 turkey choke with Lead BB, #4 buck, 00 buck, and 000 buck.

I have had zero problems over the years in spite of what you may have read.

in the 11/87 with a Carlson's turkey choke:

20" 100% pattern with Rem 3", #4 buck
15" pattern with Rem 3" 00 and 000 buckshot

I don't shoot any of the non toxic shot shells, the shot is much harder and requires a more open choke.

I shot my VersaMax Saturday with:
Carlson Extended Turkey choke .665
Winchester Varmint X BB 1300 fps
Federal #4 Buckshot 1210 fps
Remington #4 Buckshot 1225 fps
All three shot great out to 40 yds. But at 50yds the Remington pattern better. Then I decided to hold to the top of my target ( about 6 inches high)and re shoot the Federal #4 buckshot and the Winchester Varmint X . When I held high the Winchester Varmint X shot the best at 50 yds.

You need a big enough backer to see the center of your pattern. Not every shotgun shoots every load to the bead for every shooter.

Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
