Are the GEC knives a quality product? I have quite a few new in the tube folders I'm thinking of selling. I'm not a big knife guy and had never heard of them until I acquired these.

based on the half dozen or so I have bought, yeah, they are a great product. Good steel. Good workmanship. Good value.

I don't know about "great" but they make very good knives.....I like em because of the huge variety of traditional patterns they offer.....
Stay away from their lock backs though....I had one that wobbled from the gate....sent it back twice and it was worse each time I got it back....the second time they got the wobble out but it took two hands to press the lock....

They make a fine fixed blade though....LOL
I have one of their B&T patterns that's one of my favorite knives....

Also have one of their Lick Creek Jack knives in my pocket as I type that I just picked up a couple of weeks ago....
It's a smaller twin to a S&M Heritage Jack I got for Christmas last year....the last thing I needed was another pocket knife but when I saw it I thought it would be cool to have a matching pair so I couldn't help myself.....
The S&M's a better knife but it's bigger than I like to carry in my pants pocket...now I have one in my pants and one in my jacket just in case I ever get trapped inside a refrigerator box I can cut my way out....

There you go throwing that lil GEC B&T in my face again, Charlie. I tell you what, you can't find 'em with that same bone. You know I have tried. Heck it has been years now. It is a fantastic knife.

I have 2 of the S&M Heritage and love them. One ebony, one rosewood. old school cool they are....

I like em. I like the older #73 in micarta.

Also smith and son's mud bug model is made by GEC and finished by smiths. Nice lockback.

I've been wanting to get a traditional 2 blade barlow from GEC but when I think about it I never find them in stock.
